Who is who?

Since October 2008 we provide fans and admirers of Derek Ogilvie of information and the latest news about Derek.

The fanclub was founded by Brigitte, Suzanne, Charlotte, Jacqueline and Anita. They are the inventors and founders of DOF. Without them the fanclub wouldn’t have grown this big, for which they deserve an honourable mention.

In December 2008 Jacqueline decided to lay down her function as board member and the other 4 girls continued with the fanclub together. The foundation was layed -by hard work with love and devotion- and on April 19 2009 the memorable Meet Derek Day was organised, that turned out a great succes. In June 2009 Ruth joined the board. The fanclub at that moment had over 400 supporters. Soon after Suzanne, Charlotte and Brigitte decided to lay down they function as board member and -with 3 new board members- a new board was formed.

The current board, which exists of Heleen, Ruth, Marion, Jeroen and Anita, will give their best, outside of their jobs and families, voluntarily for the fanclub. They have big admiration for the work of Derek Ogilvie and perform their board membership with great enthusiasm. The Derek Ogilvie Fanclub Foundation yearly supports a good cause. For 2008 and 2009 this charity will be the Make a Wish Foundation. The fanclub has no pecuniary reward. You can recognize the fanclub by this logo:

I was born in 1969 and am mother of 2 beautiful children; a daughter (2003) and a son (2006). My profession is psycho social therapist and am currently working 32 hours a week for a foundation. I am also in the process of (re)starting my own practice. My spare time is easily filled with several fun things, like my work for DOF, spending quality time with my children and enjoying the friendship and love in my life. I am one of the co-founders of DOF and fill my board function with pleasure, out of appreciation and respect for what Derek can mean for others.

I was born in 1961 and am mother of a 29 year old daughter. My profession is executive secretary. In the meantime I hope to extend my massage and reiki practice, which is called Ruth’s Massage- en Reikipraktijk. My hobbies are reading and of course photography, this is how I became the photographer of DOF in December 2008. I have a lot of respect for Derek and have proudly accepted my boards function within the fanclub as of June 17, 2009.

I was born in 1947. My profession is journalist. When I was 24 years old, I migrated to Spain and stayed there for 20 years. I worked for i.a. a Dutch newspaper and my son was born there. When I returned to the Netherlands I worked as an internet editor for years at a radio station. Because of a reorganisation I reached a settlement to retire early, which I enjoy every day. I fill my free time with painting, writing, DIY (i.a. patching up old furniture), gardening and I am a computerfreak. I live together with Tana, a Spanish dog who was destined to be put down but who now has been my friend for 7 years. I don’t just find Derek a wonderful medium but I also find him a wonderful human being and if I can show my appreciation for him by helping DOF to grow, I’ll give a full 100%.

I was born in 1972, am married and we have a son (2000). I work parttime in a wholesalers of furniture fabrics and also have my own glass engraving studio called Glas Graveer Atelier Glass Tattoo. I also make glassware that involves Derek. I have also been a musician for 20 years now and work as a DJ/Songwriter and singer. I find it an honour to handle all the merchandise as an extension of my glassware for Derek, and help make this wonderful fanclub grow together with my co-board members.

Hello everyone, I would like to introcuce myself; I am Marion, was born on October 26 in 1965 and I live together with my son Tim (1998) and our cat Pien in Valkenswaard. My hobbies are photography, editing photos, handball, motorcycling. I am excited to work for the fanclub and will do my best for all these people who are on the same wavelength and it all leads to one man…Derek Ogilvie.
