Because Derek told me he wanted to meet Tim Durin a signingsession in Geldrop, Tim and I were invited to the Meet&Greet .. 30 minutes before the Kickoff of Meet Derek Day.
Because children weren’t allowed during the MDD I brought Mick with me to go to the zoo ( Artis in Amsterdam ) with Tim after the Meet &Greet soI could visit the MDD.
First there was a friend coming with me but she was hospitalized.. Thank goodness it wasn’t as bad as they thought at first, but she had to stay home and rest a lot.
After we got our passes after entering the building the time was finally there to meet Derek. Boy.. I looked forward to this moment for a long time.. I was also very curious to see how Tim would respond to Derek.
Tim made Derek a beautiful card in the train…

When it was our turn to speak to Derek He asked if Tim understood English.. Not yet Derek.. He’s only 10 years old!
You know what? Derek said.. If you learn how to speak English.. I will learn how to speak Dutch!

Well Derek.. We have a little surprise for you then.. Tim made a card for you, written completely in Englisch.. and he picked it out himself…

He thought the card was SuperCool.. This is very nice Tim, I really like it thank you very much!! Do you know what flower that is?? ( there was a tulip at the front) 

A very big hug…

And then we were invited to come and sit on the couch next to Derek.. He signed the picture in wich he’s giving me an intense hug ( signingsession Geldrop)

“Wow.. This is a beautiful picture of us”..

Tims pass got signed… V.I.P.!!

And I pulled out my new book.. The Babywhisperer The Englisch version ( During the signingsession in Geldrop I commented on the Dutch translation of his book.. It was too dictated and I didn’t hear or feel Derek in the second half of the book.

I asked him if he remembered me commenting the translation and he said: Yes ofcourse!! And I fired them all!!  Me the naieve mrs Simpleton: Really??  Derek: Haha.. no!

During the signing of the book, Derek asked Tim if he knew who  Beryl, Casper and Mo are mentioned on the first page of his book. He asked Tom for his cellphone and looked up all the pictures of his cats.. This is Beryl, this is Casper and this is Mo …

That was fun!! Tim loves cats very much and his cats are black and white, just like our own cat Pien.

Micks pass also got signed..

Derek took the camera from Micks hands and took this picture himself haha..

 And it was time for the next person in line…

Later on I could ask Derek a very important question that was on Tims mind.. Tim is wondering if my stephmom is with him. She died when he was 3 years old and he was at the funeral and touched her hand and even carried the cross for the coffin.. It made a huge impression on him. ( he often feels a precense in his bedroom)

Derek confirmed that there was a woman with him but he couldn’t go  deeper into it ofcourse.. It wasn’t the place or time..
Derek also said that he wasn’t a psychiatrist but that he could sence that Tim is autistic.. He was right.. Tim is an autist. It feels good that he mentioned that because I thought that THAT was the reason he wanted to meet Tim.

During the fotoshoot Derek asked me if Tim was having a good time in the zoo.. I told him that I didn’t know because I haven’t been in contact with him yet.. Well call him then!, Derek replied haha.
When I called Tim, Derek wanted to speak to him.. He asked Tim how he was and if he saw the monkeys and the elephants ( I translated monkeys and elephants in Dutch for Derek.. He said Apjes and Olliefantjes haha.. cute ) Unfortunetly Tim couldn’t hear Derek very well because it was very noisy in the zoo.. But the gesture was sooooo sweet.  
A while later we bumped into Tom.. I told him that my wish is that Derek is going to work with Tim..Tim adores Derek and is very open to him. Tom said he wants to work with Tim himself..
Wow, that was unexpected.. cool!
Later on when Tim and Mick came back from the zoo to pick me up, Tim spent some time next to Tom on the couch. Tom held Tims hand and Tim closed his eyes and was so super relaxed.. That was very special..
Tim also saw the performance of “Angels” and when Derek walked into the crowd to say goodbye, he saw Tim and said “ Good to see you Tim, goodbye buddy.. and gave him a big smacker on the cheek! Sweet!!
On the way home from the station to our house, Tim said that he felt the precense of a lady next to him in the car. I told him what Tom said; not to be afraid because the spirits are here to guide and help you.
When Tim was lying in his bed to go to sleep he said that he felt that his spirit was cleansed and he slept like a baby!
That relaxation lasted for 4 days.. Great!
Was it Derek?? Was it Tom?? I don’t know.. All I know is that it was very special.. That’s for sure!!!
Angels, Derek, Tom, Doffies…. Thank you all for a wonderful day!
